Etoile brushes
YEAR: 2023
product designer @ etoile collective
Focusing on the brand’s minimal aesthetic blended with colors I explored various bodies to balance visuals and comfort. The task was to create a double-ended face brush, a single-ended face brush, and an eye shadow brush.
IDEATION
The main goal was an ergonomic body that perfectly blended into the Etoile product line. This involved soft forms and colors to match the round pouches that Etoile has in their collection.
final concept
The direction I ended up going for was thinner ribbing in a pale pink color. The brush as asked by the client was a brown gradient, similar to the hourglass brush but in more tan tones.
-
A light pink tone with thin ribbing around the entire body.
-
A brown/tan gradient blending into a light-toned bristle.
-
The brand name is located on the side of the body, hugging between two ribs.
specifics exploration
Since this was going to be built the exact dimensions had to be created before production. I explored various ribbing sizes and quantities to show the client how much chunkier or slimmer the body could look.
specifics
The final stage was to create the perfect size and after experimenting with various dimensions this was the final body. This helped as a blueprint for all the brushes in the collection.
